The Hitachi Noblus Ultrasound + Pentax EG-3870UTK system is an integrated endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) solution designed for advanced gastrointestinal diagnostics and interventional procedures. It combines the compact, high-performance Hitachi Noblus ultrasound platform with the Pentax EG-3870UTK linear-array ultrasound video endoscope, delivering high-quality imaging and versatile therapeutic capabilities in upper GI and mediastinal applications. At the core of the system, the Hitachi Noblus Ultrasound provides premium image quality in a space-saving design. Powered by the Ultra BE digital signal processing engine, Noblus supports high-resolution B‑mode imaging and advanced Doppler modes for vascular assessment. Depending on configuration, the system can support Hitachi Real-time Tissue Elastography (HI-RTE) and additional imaging modes that assist in lesion characterization and guidance during EUS procedures. The Pentax EG-3870UTK ultrasound video endoscope is equipped with a curved, linear-array transducer that delivers a wide 120° ultrasound field of view and high-quality images for detailed visualization of gastrointestinal wall layers, adjacent structures, and lymph nodes. The scope incorporates a large 3.8 mm working channel, enabling a broad range of EUS-guided procedures, from diagnostic fine-needle aspiration (FNA) to therapeutic interventions such as drainage, dilation, injection, and selected ablation techniques—depending on accessories and clinical protocols. Engineered for maneuverability and procedural efficiency, the EG-3870UTK offers high flexibility and precise tip control to support accurate positioning in challenging anatomy.
